The required parameters include:
- Characteristics of the greenhouse like year and type of construction, the covered area (m2), the existing thermal insulation, etc.,
- Annual energy and fuels consumption in various sectors, type of fuels used, existing installations of renewable energy systems, types of energy systems used for heating, cooling, etc.,
- The required data will be provided from the greenhouse in cooperation with our engineers.
The greenhouse owner will be aware about the energy consumption in the greenhouse compared with other greenhouses. This is the necessary first step for reducing its energy cost improving its environmental sustainability.
The greenhouse will be aware about the preliminary size of the required sustainable energy systems which can reduce or totally eliminate the carbon emissions due to energy consumption. Additionally, the greenhouse will have an estimate of the cost for offsetting any remaining carbon emissions as well as how to achieve green transportation for its staff.
In the final report a better sizing of the necessary energy systems will be given. This will enable the greenhouse’s owners to make a rational decision regarding the required clean energy investments to achieve net-carbon neutrality in the greenhouse.
The communication will be achieved either with e-mails or with video-conferences (Zoom, Skype, etc.)
We operate as a non-profit company. The cost of our services will be agreed with the greenhouse’s owners before starting any work.
The greenhouse can pay either via e-banking or via bank transfer to the bank account of the company.
